Just received the Hobonichi Techo 2024 cousin notebook in the mail! It was packaged beautifully and has some unexpected heft.

Now all that's left is to stick it on my shelf and never use it the rest of the year.

Now when I save something in Pinboard it will syndicate to my site on a cron job. I'll have to write that up as a blog post before too long.

Have you read Second-guessing the modern web?

I'm feeling a lot of this right now -- why are we doing all this again? Developer experience is important, yes, but it's subordinate to user experience. Shipping a bunch of JS to the client as a prerequisite for the app to work as the default case seems like a poor decision.

Watching The ultimate introduction to Godot 4 - YouTube. It is seriously good, 11 hours long, and starts as though you're a complete beginner to programming and gamedev without being too pandering.

If you're trying to get familiar with Godot because of the Unity fiasco and you like learning from videos, this seems like a great place to start!
